A Short Story Starring A Virgo

When your toxic traits are isolation and avoidance but your love language is physical touch and quality time, you tend to make up stories in your head.

A Short Story Starring a Virgo

A common criticism Virgo receives behind their back, more often dead in their face, is that of being nitpicky and critical. I'll come back to this but first... A Virgo is moving on up to a deluxe apartment 19 floors in the sky-eye-eye. Often cyclical, a Virgo will ask for help, and be critical of that help, thus causing a Virgo to (1) Do it themselves (2) Never ask for help again.

A Virgo asked for help with their move, but not in the traditional sense of moving; decluttering, organizing, cleaning, and packing, however help to show up and stand in place, pick something up, and/or drop something off. Hitherto, everyone heeeeeeed and everyone hawwwwwd. We turn to the next page in the story to find a Virgo reconciling all the ways they show up for others—

Drop offs at the nail salon to get that dark baby toe painted, airport runs, special events, picking up your granny's meds, car breakdowns, flat tires, dead batteries, car rental pickups/drop-offs, bringing you cash to an expensive restaurant because you lost your wallet, and helping others MOVE.

The point—

a Virgo shows up in a myriad of ways.

The story also involves "injustice collecting" where a Virgo uses their unique storytelling ability to conjure up different ways to feel offended, cheated, or otherwise victimized. Moving is a part of life, the world isn't going to stop lying flat because a Virgo is moving. That's high school, making a Virgo chase you around for months, have an affair, and act like an adult for once.

Bars.

In all fairness, a Virgo probably would be nitpicky and critical of the help they receive, so lettuce' get on to the business of doing it themselves. Regarding the work they won't do themselves— they hire movers and they hire shakers.

If you know a stereotypical Virgo, you know they are rational (over) thinkers, problem-solvers, and calculative, yet somehow they are unable to see when they got that dog in 'em.

Dogmatism— making up stories, while laying down principles as incontrovertibly true, without consideration of evidence or the opinions of others. The truth is, a Virgo has a great family and great friends that have given and/or offered help.

It's me, I Am a Virgo

Hired Movers and Shakers

Except for Big Sis, The Glaws, NOVA, Rock Hill, AVPNise, Rich, The Key and Al who unbegrudgingly offered to help. A Virgo is petty and the petty is not arbitrary— there will be those among you who will querulously ask to use me and my garage to avoid paying to park Uptown for sporting events, concerts, restaurants, and museums to which I will Heeeeee and I will Hawwwww.

Stay Safe,
